Based in Banchory, Scotland, ScandiScot are proud to bring you exclusive glassware and sculptures from the Kingdom of Crystal, a region in the southern part of Sweden  known for its numerous glassworks. Our products are manufactured exlusively in Sweden by Bergdala Studioglas, a merger between Bergdala Design and Studioglas Strombergshyttan.

About Bergdala Studioglas

The merge of Bergdala Design and Studioglas Strombergshyttan means that all the design and artwork is done under the same roof - Bergdala Glasbruk. This glasswork was founded in 1889 and is one of the oldest in the Kingdom of Crystal. Bergdala stands for 'tradition'. The 'Blue Line' (plates, bowls, glasses and jugs), still popular, has been around as long as the glasswork itself.

Bergdala has also put glass products in a new light - 'Light in Art'. Some of the sculptures are placed on top of a lightbase, creating both a surprising and stunning effect.

The merge with Studioglass Strombergshyttan has added to the modern and creative designs that are all a result of the curiosity about what glass can tolerate. This has led to advanced glassblowing techniques, that require great craftmanship.
